Vacancy: Production Manager at Remake Society (20-28 hours)
Do you want to lead a textile production process that combines craftsmanship, sustainability and social impact?
At Remake Society in Rotterdam-Zuid, we work with a team of talented status holders on the transition to a circular textile industry. Together we repair, upcycle and renew used textiles and textile surpluses. This way we give material and people a second chance.
We produce for well-known brands and partners in retail, sports and corporate apparel. Many of our employees have years of experience in the textile sector in their country of origin. We also train new professionals through our Academy and offer MBO students internships.
Remake Society was founded in 2023 and is growing rapidly. To make that growth possible, we are looking for a Production Manager who gets energy from managing people and processes, and who wants to get the best out of our team as well as himself.
We are looking for a calm, stable, empathetic and experienced personality who will build a self-managing team with our creators.
Your role
As Production Manager, you will ensure a smooth and future-proof production process. You keep an overview, guide the team and cooperate with customers and suppliers. You combine attention for people with a keen eye for quality and planning.
You will deal with:
- Plan, organize and continuously improve the production process: from order to delivery.
- Monitor quality, time and cost, including purchasing and (after) calculations.
- Direct, coach and support the diverse production team, focusing on craftsmanship, personal development and fun.
- Maintain contact with customers and suppliers.
- Thinking along about the growth and future of Remake Society.
What you bring
- Experience in planning, directing and improving production processes, preferably in textiles or apparel (not a must).
- Ability to guide people from different cultures and backgrounds in language, professionalism and personal development.
- A connecting leadership style with an eye for cultural sensitivity.
- Good communication skills towards customers and suppliers.
- Good command of the Dutch language (speaking and writing) and at least basic English.
- Available for a minimum of 20 hours per week, on location in Rotterdam-Zuid.
